I’m back from my holiday. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to write the planned review of the year before the break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2024 ended with me feeling like I hadn’t achieved anything. My limited time and productivity had to be used for unplanned tasks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At first, it seemed that things weren’t going to work out as desired in 2025 either. But then: the wind changes and you (almost) don’t notice it. At second glance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I still have many ‘legacy issues’ to deal with, but I have finally tackled the ‘Inside the Age of Sail’ section on Nauticalfiction. This was prompted by a frustrating experience with AI illustration. It had become clear that the AI was unable to produce acceptable line drawings of ships. So, I finally sat down and got to work myself, and by the end of the year, I had finished the section on the Royal Navy’s rating system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of storytelling, I at least began writing a seafaring tale set in a role-playing universe. I didn’t get any further because, after a break of almost ten years, I wanted to honour another voyage with a diary. The plan was to create a work alongside my other projects. The result is a book project in disguise, with 70 A4 pages of script so far \u2013 and I still have to write about two days. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also intend to sell a comic book collection. Work on this came to a standstill during my ‘chaotic autumn’ of 2024, too. I am also making small steps here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I completed another illustration for Inside Age of Sail shortly before the turn of the year. The ship sloop of the Non-Rates will be added to the galleries shortly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Motti\/Murmeli made it into the top 20 most viewed comics over the New Year. \u201cDracula Version Motti\u201d was in ninth place this morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How well the new year gets off to a start depends on how quickly I find my groove again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
