09-16-2025 2nd Rate added to gallery

Progress is ongoing. I have just started the final drawing, which I intend to use to illustrate my planned posts on the rating system for Royal Navy ships.

In the British Navy, ships were classified according to the number of guns they carried during Quincey Howard’s time. Ships with 100 or more guns were placed in the first rate. In the sixth rate were the smallest vessels, with 20 to 24 guns.

With a second-rate ship, all drawings completed so far are available in advance in the gallery.

Enjoy!
