Last late summer, I started experimenting to see if I could use AI to give my illustration work for Nauticalfiction a new boost.

The biggest impact was that I started doing the technical drawings for the posts about the ships myself.

Whether it’s technical drawings or simple illustrations, AI usually can’t get the important details right. This is so much the case that I can’t even use AI for design work.

Nevertheless, I’m not giving up and am continuing to train it diligently. And occasionally, I do get images that are at least acceptable.

That’s why I’ve decided to document my work with AI in a gallery using these images.
