How to refresh a Motti strip
Work continues at Murmeli. The French version of ‘Only Fur’ is online and Murmeli’s version of the Dracula story is ready for publication. – Time to prepare the next strip:
When I came up with the idea for the Murmeli strips, there was no thought of online comics.
That’s why I designed the pranks as a magazine strip with 3 square images width for ¼ DIN A 4 page in height.
For the relaunch a good 2 years ago, I then decided to change to a square layout with 4 instead of 3 images.
So the finished strips had to be remounted. With the previous strips, minor changes to the existing panels were sufficient.
Now the last finished strip from the 90s is ready for reworking. This will be the first time that a new panel has to be added.
It’s a gag without words that I had to ‘compress’ a bit so that it would fit into the original layout. Here the additional picture is a benefit to present the gag even better.
