Occasionally I also create (maritime) illustrations that are not related to Quincey Howard RN or the Wharfair project. Interesting art-work gets its place here from now on.

Last year I had scanned other of my old comic projects in view of reworking them. Since I have almost finished "Ironimo's Battleship" in the meantime, it is now the turn of a fantasy short story with a maritime background. After I had removed the text from the first page, I finally tried out some of the brushes I had ordered with Affinity-Photo. For comparison, I then quickly coloured it again in my current technique.

The historical setting should be the transition from the 17th to the 18th century. The experienced viewer will notice a few small flaws, but bear with me. I had to work from memory, as the few reference books available at the time could only be obtained through inter-library loan
