06-23-2026 Oh dear…

No new post for over six weeks. But don’t panic. There’s always a bit of something going on – behind the scenes.

Back in May, I finished the first illustration for the new series of posts on ship types. The French Commerce de Marseille as an example of a ship of the line.

I also managed to upload the illustration to the galleries pretty quickly. And whilst I was at it, I merged the galleries containing the ship’s plans.

Then a few days on the Belgian coast and a couple of other projects got in the way.

But now I’ve finished the example for this class, with a drawing of La Siréne, a French frigate based on Chapman’s book. And I’m trying to get back on track.

Here’s the link to the updated gallery featuring the Commerce de Marseille.

And I’ve already found a few templates for French corvettes too. 😉
