07-22-2026 I’ve overtaken myself
I’m just thinking I should post that I’m already working on my next side view.
And … bang … the illustration is suddenly finished. At least by my standards so far. However, with a ‘bomb ketch’ – the early form of the mortar ships – you can’t yet tell what sets this ketch apart from others. That’s because its distinctive feature – the heavy mortars – is hidden by the ship’s side.
The finished drawing, as it stands, will be added to the gallery in the next few days. And then I’ll decide whether to draw a top view to show the mortars, or whether to create a section drawing using the existing side view.
